α-Tocopherol
Mechanism
α-Tocopherol ist das wichtigste fettlösliche Antioxidans und schützt Zellmembranen vor Lipidperoxidation. Bei Pferden ohne Weidegang (Heufütterung über Winter) sinkt die Versorgung, da der Vitamin-E-Gehalt in konserviertem Raufutter deutlich abnimmt. Diskutiert wird die Bedeutung bei neuromuskulären Erkrankungen.
