Mechanism

Tamarindenmark ist zugleich zucker- und stark saeurehaltig: Weinsaeure macht 8-12% aus, dazu Aepfel- und Zitronensaeure sowie Pektine und Schleimstoffe. Die traditionell laxierende Wirkung wird den organischen Saeuren und gelbildenden Polysacchariden zugeschrieben (Reviews PMID 22096321; DOI 10.3390/nu18040576). Fuer das Pferd summieren sich damit drei kritische Punkte: hoher Zucker (NSC/Insulinaemie), hohe Saeurelast und ein abfuehrendes Potenzial. Kontrollierte Pferdestudien fehlen; safety yellow.

How the Equiterna Score is built
