Mechanism

Charakteristische Leitsubstanz ist das seltene C-glykosidische Dihydrochalkon Aspalathin, begleitet von Nothofagin, Orientin/Isoorientin und Quercetinglykosiden; der Aufguss ist koffeinfrei und gerbstoffarm. Aspalathin zeigt in-vitro und tierexperimentell potente antioxidative sowie antidiabetische, antiinflammatorische, antithrombotische und xanthinoxidase-hemmende Aktivitaeten (Phytochemistry Reviews 2021). Human- und Tiermodelldaten stuetzen die Beeinflussung antioxidativer Marker; kontrollierte Studien beim Pferd fehlen. Wegen des geringen Gerbstoffgehalts gilt Rooibos als gut vertraeglicher, milder Aufguss. Einordnung: Ergaenzungsfuttermittel mit antioxidativer Tradition ohne equinen Wirknachweis.

· Sehr hohe Mengen isolierter Polyphenole beim Pferd nicht untersucht

How the Equiterna Score is built
