Mechanism

Reisprotein gilt als hypoallergen und gut verdaulich, ist als Cerealienprotein aber typischerweise arm an Lysin (sowie Threonin/Tryptophan) - der beim Pferd erst-limitierenden Aminosaeure (NRC 2007; Graham et al. 1994, PMID 8157522). Vergleichende Aminosaeurenanalysen (Kalman 2014, Foods 3(3):394-402, doi:10.3390/foods3030394) und DIAAS-Reviews (Herreman et al. 2020, doi:10.1002/fsn3.1809) belegen ein hohes BCAA-, aber niedriges Lysinniveau. Als alleinige Eiweissquelle deckt es daher den Lysinbedarf schlecht; sinnvoll eher bei Vertraeglichkeitsproblemen mit anderen Proteinen, dann kombiniert mit Lysin/Methionin. Kontrollierte equine Fuetterungsdaten fehlen.
