Mechanism

Rotklee ist reich an Isoflavonen (Formononetin, Biochanin A, Genistein, Daidzein) mit phytooestrogener Rezeptorbindung (agrarwissenschaftliche und ESCOP-Literatur). Bei Weidepferden ist zudem zu beachten, dass mit Rhizoctonia befallener Rotklee das Alkaloid Slaframin bilden kann, das vermehrten Speichelfluss ('Slobbers') ausloest. Hohe Isoflavonaufnahmen koennen die Fortpflanzung beeinflussen.
