Mechanism

Proteasen spalten Nahrungsproteine an Peptidbindungen zu kurzkettigen Peptiden und freien Aminosaeuren. In der Gefluegel- und Schweinefuetterung werden mikrobielle Serin-Proteasen als zootechnische Zusatzstoffe eingesetzt und von der EFSA bewertet (Ronozyme ProAct, serine protease, EFSA-Gutachten pub 6448); Kombipraeparate mit Xylanase und Amylase verbesserten in Broilern die Naehrstoffverdaulichkeit (PMID 27591284). Fuer das Pferd existieren praktisch keine kontrollierten Wirksamkeitsdaten. Das Pferd sezerniert pankreatische Proteasen in den Duenndarm und fermentiert nicht verdautes Protein im Dickdarm; ein Zusatznutzen exogener Proteasen ist damit weder belegt noch physiologisch naheliegend. Evidenz beim Pferd: emerging bzw. unklar.
