Mechanism

Charakteristisch sind dammaran-Saponine - Notoginsenosid R1 sowie Ginsenoside Rg1 und Rb1 - neben seltenen Notoginsenosiden (Ft1, Fc). Ein narrativer Review beschreibt eine bidirektionale Haemostase-Regulation: Notoginsenosid Ft1 foerdert die Thrombozytenaggregation (haemostatisch), Fc hemmt sie und wirkt durchblutungsfoerdernd (Wang 2025, PMID 40061484). In kardiovaskulaeren Modellen und chinesischen klinischen Studien zeigen sich vasodilatatorische, antithrombotische, anti-inflammatorische und antioxidative Effekte (PMID 24319481; PMID 39903802). Fuer das Pferd fehlen kontrollierte Studien vollstaendig; die kreislauf- und gerinnungsaktiven Eigenschaften sind aber gerade im Wettkampf- und perioperativen Kontext heikel. Traditionell gilt Notoginseng in der Schwangerschaft als kontraindiziert, was auf uterine/oestrogene Ginsenosid-Effekte zurueckgefuehrt wird.

How the Equiterna Score is built

The Equiterna Score combines three dimensions into a value of 0-100: science (40%), practical experience (30%) and safety (30%).
