Mechanism

Naringin ist das Bitterflavonoid der Grapefruit und wird zu Naringenin metabolisiert. Neben antioxidativen Effekten in Zellmodellen ist eine Hemmung von CYP3A4 und Efflux-Transportern beschrieben, die theoretisch den Metabolismus gleichzeitig gegebener Arzneistoffe beeinflussen kann (pharmakologische Reviews, z. B. Drug Metabolism Reviews). Equine Daten liegen nicht vor.

In addition, the editorial safety rating caps the result: it limits the safety dimension and the overall tier (orange: at most solid). For entries rated red, no score is calculated at all. The rating never raises anything — a green rating does not lift a calculated value.
