Mechanism

Myrtenblaetter enthalten ein ätherisches Oel mit Myrtenol, 1,8-Cineol und Alpha-Pinen sowie Gerbstoffe und Flavonoide. Traditionell wird die Droge in der Mittelmeerregion als aromatische Pflanze verwendet. Physiologische Effekte beim Pferd sind nicht durch kontrollierte Studien gesichert; das ätherische Oel wirkt reizend.

In addition, the editorial safety rating caps the result: it limits the safety dimension and the overall tier (orange: at most solid). For entries rated red, no score is calculated at all. The rating never raises anything — a green rating does not lift a calculated value.
