Mechanism

Das Harz von Commiphora myrrha enthaelt ein ätherisches Oel mit Furanosesquiterpenen (u. a. Furanoeudesma-Dien) sowie Gummi und Bitterstoffe. In der arabischen Tradition und in HMPC-Monographien (Humanbereich) wird Myrrhe als adstringierende Droge fuer Mund- und Rachenschleimhaut beschrieben. Kontrollierte Wirksamkeitsdaten beim Pferd liegen nicht vor; die Droge ist reizend und bitter.

In addition, the editorial safety rating caps the result: it limits the safety dimension and the overall tier (orange: at most solid). For entries rated red, no score is calculated at all. The rating never raises anything — a green rating does not lift a calculated value.
