Mechanism

Inhaltsstoffe der Mönchspfeffer-Früchte wirken dopaminerg. In der Praxis wird Mönchspfeffer adjuvant im Kontext von PPID (Equines Cushing) sowie bei Stuten mit zyklusbedingten Verhaltensauffälligkeiten eingesetzt. Die equine Evidenz ist begrenzt und ersetzt keine tierärztliche PPID-Diagnostik/Therapie (Pergolid).
