Mechanism

Bei Maqui machen Delphinidin-Glykoside (v.a. Delphinidin-3-glucosid und -3,5-diglucosid) ueber 85% der Anthocyane aus (PMID 24497378). In-vitro-Arbeiten zeigen retinoprotektive und antioxidative Effekte (PMID 23561088). Ein standardisierter delphinidinreicher Extrakt (Delphinol) senkte bei prediabetischen Menschen Nuechtern- und postprandiale Glykaemie sowie Insulinaemie im oralen Glukosetoleranztest (DOI 10.1155/2016/9070537). Kontrollierte Pferdestudien fehlen vollstaendig; die Uebertragbarkeit dieser Humandaten auf den Pferdestoffwechsel ist offen.
