Mechanism

Lucuma-Fruchtpulver enthaelt Zucker, organische Saeuren, Ballaststoffe, Phenole (Flavan-3-ole, Gallussaeure) sowie Carotinoide/Xanthophylle. In vitro wurden antioxidative und antihyperglykaemische (alpha-Glucosidase-hemmende) Eigenschaften beschrieben (DOI 10.1016/j.foodchem.2015.05.110), das detaillierte Chemieprofil von Pulpe und Schale ist charakterisiert (DOI 10.3390/molecules26175236). Trotz eines relativ niedrigen glykaemischen Index bleibt Lucuma ein Kohlenhydrat-/Zuckertraeger - fuer das Pferd zaehlt die NSC-Gesamtbilanz. Kontrollierte Pferdestudien fehlen; ein funktioneller Nutzen am Pferd ist unbelegt.

How the Equiterna Score is built

The Equiterna Score combines three dimensions into a value of 0-100: science (40%), practical experience (30%) and safety (30%).
