Mechanism

Die Karotte (Daucus carota) ist reich an Beta-Carotin, das zu Vitamin A umgewandelt werden kann, sowie an Pektin und Zucker. Sie wird als schmackhaftes, carotinoidreiches Leckerli oder Ergaenzung genutzt. Beta-Carotin aus frischem Futter deckt beim Pferd in der Regel den Bedarf (Futtermittel-VO 767/2009).
