Mechanism

Die getrockneten Kelche der Roselle enthalten organische Saeuren (u.a. Hibiscus- und Zitronensaeure) und Anthocyane (Delphinidin- und Cyanidin-3-sambubiosid). Humane Meta-Analysen belegen eine moderate, dosisabhaengige Senkung des Blutdrucks (PMID 34927694; PMID 39870328), diskutiert u.a. ueber Hemmung von ACE und Renin-Angiotensin-System durch die Anthocyane. Kontrollierte Pferdestudien fehlen; die kardiovaskulaere Uebertragung auf das Pferd ist unbelegt. Der Zuckergehalt ist niedrig, weshalb Hibiskus - anders als die suessen Trockenfruechte dieser Charge - stoffwechselseitig unkritischer ist (green).

How the Equiterna Score is built
