Mechanism

Gummi arabicum ist das getrocknete Exsudat von Acacia senegal/Acacia seyal, ein Arabinogalaktan-Protein-Komplex, der als loeslicher, langsam fermentierbarer Ballaststoff und als Emulgator/Traegerstoff (Zusatzstoff E 414) verwendet wird. In Humanstudien werden praebiotische Effekte auf die Darmmikrobiota beschrieben; beim Pferd ist die Datenlage begrenzt. Der Einsatz erfolgt als technologischer Hilfsstoff bzw. praebiotisches Ergaenzungsfuttermittel, nicht therapeutisch.
