Mechanism

Die Stengeldroge enthaelt Alkaloide (Berberin, Palmatin, Magnoflorin), clerodane-Diterpenoid-Furanolactone (Tinosporid, Columbin), Glykoside (Tinocordisid, Syringin, Cordifoliosid A) sowie Polysaccharide, denen das immunmodulatorische Wirkprinzip zugeschrieben wird. In-vitro und im Nagermodell aktivieren Extrakte Makrophagen, foerdern Phagozytose, Komplement- und GM-CSF-Freisetzung und heben eine Cyclophosphamid-induzierte Immunsuppression teilweise auf (Bishayi/Roy, PMID 10844163). Uebersichtsarbeiten fassen antioxidative, antihyperglykaemische, hepatoprotektive und immunstimulierende Effekte zusammen, betonen aber die Heterogenitaet der Praeparate und den Mangel kontrollierter klinischer Daten (Ahsan 2023, PMID 37017881; Dhama 2017, PMID 28260522). Fuer das Pferd existieren KEINE publizierten pharmakokinetischen oder Wirksamkeitsstudien; jede Aussage ist aus Human-/Nagerdaten extrapoliert und damit als vorlaeufig einzustufen. Zusaetzlich wurden in Indien Fallberichte einer Tinospora-assoziierten (autoimmun-artigen) Leberschaedigung beim Menschen publiziert, was den vermeintlich harmlosen Ruf relativiert.
