Mechanism

Leitsubstanzen sind Ellagitannine (v.a. Agrimoniin), Phenolcarbonsaeuren (Ellag-, Gallus-, Kaffeesaeure) sowie Flavonolglykoside von Quercetin und Kaempferol; pharmakopoeisch wird das Kraut auf mindestens 6% Gerbstoffe (bezogen auf Pyrogallol) standardisiert. Die traditionell adstringierende, oberflaechlich zusammenziehende Zuschreibung wird auf den Gerbstoffgehalt zurueckgefuehrt; in-vitro sind antioxidative, antimikrobielle und wundheilungsbezogene Effekte beschrieben (J-Ethnopharmacol-Review zum Genus Alchemilla 2024). Kontrollierte Studien beim Pferd fehlen vollstaendig; die Datenlage ist human, in-vitro und ethnobotanisch. Die ESCOP-Monographie fuehrt oberirdische Teile traditionell im Bereich der Frauenheilkunde. Einordnung: Ergaenzungsfuttermittel mit adstringierender Tradition, ohne belegte therapeutische Indikation beim Pferd.

How the Equiterna Score is built

The Equiterna Score combines three dimensions into a value of 0-100: science (40%), practical experience (30%) and safety (30%). It is transparently derived from evidence level, attributed sources (PubMed/journals), legal classification and cautions.
