Mechanism
Getrocknete Feigen sind zucker- und energiereich und enthalten Phenole sowie organische Saeuren (Review PMID 24159359). Blaetter und der Milchsaft (Latex) enthalten die Protease Ficin und lineare Furocumarine (Psoralen, Bergapten), die photosensibilisierend und phototoxisch wirken koennen (PMID 6744838); die reife Frucht selbst enthaelt praktisch keine photoaktiven Furocumarine. Fuer das Pferd doppelt relevant: getrocknete Feigen bringen eine hohe Zucker-/NSC-Last (Insulinaemie/Rehe-Kontext), waehrend frische Pflanzenteile reizend und phototoxisch sind. Kontrollierte Pferdestudien fehlen; safety yellow wegen Zuckerlast plus Reiz-/Photosensibilisierungspotenzial der Pflanzenteile.
