Mechanism

Leitsubstanzen sind Codonopsis-Polysaccharide (CPP) sowie Polyacetylene, Flavonoide und Alkaloide. CPP zeigen in vitro und in Nagermodellen immunmodulierende Effekte, u. a. Makrophagenaktivierung ueber den TLR4/MyD88/NF-kB-Signalweg und T-/B-Zell-Modulation, dazu antioxidative, praebiotische und gastroprotektive Wirkungen (systematischer Review, PMID 38803438/PMC11128667; Immunmodulation in vitro und in vivo, PMC6832355). In der TCM wird Dang Shen als sanfteres, weniger stimulierendes Qi-Tonikum anstelle von Ginseng eingesetzt und gilt entsprechend als mild und gut vertraeglich - dies begruendet die Ampel green. Die Evidenz beruht ausschliesslich auf praeklinischen Daten; kontrollierte Wirksamkeits-, Sicherheits- oder PK-Studien beim Pferd fehlen vollstaendig. Der Einsatz als Ergaenzungsfuttermittel ist traditionell/extrapoliert zu werten, ohne therapeutischen Anspruch am Tier.

  • · Ginseng-Substitut, aber milder - dennoch keine equinen Sicherheitsdaten; nur als Ergaenzungsfuttermittel, kein Krankheitsbezug
  • · Tragende/laktierende Stuten: mangels equiner Daten meiden
  • · FEI: allgemeine Kraeuterprodukt-Warnung - vor Wettkampf abklaeren
