Mechanism

Camu Camu enthaelt ausserordentlich viel Ascorbinsaeure (bis in den Prozentbereich der Trockenmasse) sowie Ellagitannine, Myricetin und Ellagsaeure. Eine Humanstudie an Rauchern senkte Oxidations- und Entzuendungsmarker (8-OHdG, ROS, CRP, IL-6/-8) staerker als eine aequivalente Menge Vitamin-C-Tabletten (PMID 18922386). Weitere bioaktive Effekte wurden in vivo/in vitro beschrieben (PMID 29952005). Fuetterungsrelevant und ehrlich einzuordnen: Das gesunde Pferd bildet Vitamin C endogen in der Leber, ein alimentaerer Vitamin-C-Mangel ist selten (Ausnahmen: schwere Erkrankung, hohes Alter). Der Vitamin-C-Marketingnutzen ist daher beim Pferd nicht einfach uebertragbar; kontrollierte Pferdestudien fehlen.
