Mechanism

Baobab-Fruchtpulver ist aussergewoehnlich reich an loeslichen Ballaststoffen (Pektin/niedrig-methoxyliertes Homogalakturonan, teils ~50 % Faser), Polyphenolen (Procyanidine, Flavonolglykoside) und Vitamin C. Zwei Wirklinien sind humanseitig untersucht: (1) Ein polyphenolreicher Baobab-Extrakt reduzierte in vitro den Staerkeabbau und senkte beim Menschen die glykaemische Antwort auf staerkereiche Mahlzeiten (Coe et al. 2013, Nutr Res, PMID 24176228). (2) Pektinreiches Baobab-Pulver zeigte in einem In-vitro-Darmmodell praebiotisches Potenzial mit vermehrter Bildung kurzkettiger Fettsaeuren (Acetat, Propionat, Butyrat) und Ansaeuerung des Kolons (Foltz et al. 2021, Microorganisms, PMID 34576876). EHRLICH ZUR PFERDEDATENLAGE: es existieren KEINE kontrollierten Studien am Pferd; der praebiotische/faserliefernde Ansatz ist biologisch plausibel (der equine Dickdarm ist ein Fermenter), aber die Uebertragung erfolgt rein extrapoliert aus Human-/In-vitro-Daten.
