Mechanism

Die Knollen von Hypoxis hemerocallidea enthalten das Norlignan-Glykosid Hypoxosid (Metabolit Rooperol) sowie Phytosterole und Sterolglykoside, denen in Laborstudien antioxidative und immunmodulierende Eigenschaften zugeschrieben werden. In der suedafrikanischen Tradition wird die Pflanze vielfaeltig verwendet. Kontrollierte Pferdedaten fehlen; im Humanbereich werden Wechselwirkungen mit Arzneistoffen diskutiert.

In addition, the editorial safety rating caps the result: it limits the safety dimension and the overall tier (orange: at most solid). For entries rated red, no score is calculated at all. The rating never raises anything — a green rating does not lift a calculated value.
