Mechanism

Die Acai-Pulpe ist reich an Anthocyanen (v.a. Cyanidin-3-glucosid und Cyanidin-3-rutinosid) sowie weiteren Flavonoiden und Polyphenolen. Eine Humanstudie zeigte nach Verzehr von Acai-Saft/-Pulpe einen messbaren Anstieg der Plasma-Antioxidanzkapazitaet (PMID 18693743). Ein kritischer Review fasst kardio-, hepato- und neuroprotektive sowie antioxidative Effekte zusammen, die ganz ueberwiegend aus Zell- und Nagermodellen stammen (PMID 36839349). Es existieren keine kontrollierten Fuetterungsstudien am Pferd; hohe ORAC-/Antioxidanzwerte im Labor sind kein Wirknachweis am Tier. Die getrocknete Pulpe enthaelt zudem relevant Zucker und Fett.
